About the Foundation

The Foundation’s purpose is to encourage educational attainment and excellence for students entering high school who are struggling financially to continue with Catholic/Christian Education programs in the Rio Grande Valley, and Moshi Kilimanjaro in the United Republic of Tanzania, Africa.

The Foundation fosters and seeks partnership with the community, businesses, families, individuals, teachers, and school administrators who share a common interest in furthering educational attainment for qualifying students, who desire to further their relationship with the Lord, and who seek to achieve a level of education that is within the reach of their potential, thereby making an impact on their lives but also on the community they will eventually serve.

The Foundation is committed to supporting students during the four years of high school, grades 9 through 12, who excel in their academic studies each year. The Foundation does not discourage students from participating in non-academic activities like sports or band, but the emphasis that the Foundation puts on academic activities is most important.

The Foundation intends to create an environment that will empower students to develop confidence that will form in them not only a spirit of individual achievement and personal worth but a desire to serve others, especially the under-served members of the community who because of financial difficulties are unable to benefit from a successful high school academic experience.
